How it’s measured
Over 6 and 12 months (weeks of 13 Apr 2026 and 13 Oct 2025), an item only counts if it meets the same Steam-sales rules as the rankings (Steam credit): 4 days with sales out of 7 at each end, 30 sales over 30 days, at least €3.00, and a recent price between 0.9 and 2 times that of at least 3 other marketplaces. These two columns have their own counts: 393 items over 6 months, 350 over 12 months. A group with fewer than 10 items shows “—”.
402 items from the index basket, sold on at least 20 of 30 days on the Steam Market, at €3.00 or more in the week compared. Weeks compared: 12 Oct 2026 against 5 Oct 2026, 14 Sept 2026 and 13 Jul 2026. A group with fewer than 10 items isn’t shown. How we read these signals
Nothing here predicts a price, and nothing here is personal advice: these are dated measurements, redone every day, the same for everyone, with the same rules for every item and no hand-picking.
How it’s measured
- Change over the period
- The price in the week compared, against 1 week, 1 month (4 weeks) or 3 months (13 weeks) earlier, and on the map 6 months (26 weeks) and 12 months (52 weeks). A week’s price is the median of daily prices, over at least 3 days with sales; a day’s price is the median of that day’s sales.
- Against the market
- The item’s 3-month change, minus the median change of the whole basket. An item that falls with the market says nothing more than the market.
- Levelling off
- Less than 5% between the last two weeks, and a price less than 10% above the low of the last 13 weeks, the week compared included.
- Gap to the high
- The price in the week compared, against the highest weekly price of the last 13 weeks, the week compared included.
- Liquidity
- The number of days with at least one sale on Steam, over 30 days. Below 20, the item isn’t shown: what rarely sells is hard to resell.
- Which items
- The 416 weapon items in the market index’s fixed basket, re-read every week from Steam sales; a week is only compared when at least 90% of them have sales in it. Dopplers are left out: Steam sells all their phases under one name.
