Souvenir-O-Matic: what a CS2 Souvenir is worth since May 2026

How this guide was made

Recorded on 7 Oct 2026 at 16:05, Paris time, from our production database, read-only. For each item except StatTrak™: the cheapest listing across marketplaces that pay out in cash (not Steam, not site credit), prices recorded within the previous 24 hours. A Souvenir and regular pair only counts if each side is listed on at least two marketplaces. These are listings, not sales, and our data can’t tell the origin of each listing. What the Souvenir-O-Matic does comes from Valve’s two posts of 22 May 2026. The shop’s announced end date comes from two posts of 29 July 2026. All four were read on 4 October 2026 and are listed at the bottom of the page.

What the Souvenir-O-Matic does

On 22 May 2026, alongside the Cologne Major Shop, Valve added the Souvenir-O-Matic. Valve describes it like this: you take a normal or Souvenir quality gun from your inventory, then pick a completed IEM Cologne 2026 match and one player from it. The gun comes back in Souvenir quality with four gold stickers: both teams of the match, the player’s autograph and the map.

The conversion is permanent, and any stickers already on the gun are removed first. Valve says its price depends on demand for the gold team and autograph stickers you pick, and on the rarity of the gun. You pay in Major tokens, bought in the game or earned in Pick’Em with the Major pass.

Valve’s wording is a weapon “of normal or souvenir quality”. Our reading: a StatTrak™, a ★ knife or a pair of gloves doesn’t fit that. As for our catalogue, it holds no Souvenir knife or Souvenir gloves.

That day’s patch notes also let Souvenirs into Trade Up Contracts: they lose their Souvenir attributes there, and the contract returns a normal item. On 29 July 2026 (UTC), Valve announced that the Cologne Major Shop would be available until 29 September 2026. Those posts don’t name the Souvenir-O-Matic, and Valve’s patch notes up to 2 October 2026 (UTC) don’t mention it again. We haven’t checked in game whether it still works.

One market name, two kinds of Souvenir

A converted Souvenir carries the same market name as every other Souvenir of that skin: “Souvenir AWP | Dragon Lore (Minimal Wear)” can be a gun opened from a package or a regular Dragon Lore converted in 2026. Marketplaces list them under that one name, and a price, here as anywhere else, is the cheapest listing under that name, whatever its origin.

  • The skin had Souvenirs before May 2026. Original Souvenirs and conversions sell under the same name. That covers 320 skins, nearly all from Major packages, the AWP | Dragon Lore among them, found in 10 packages from ESL One Cologne 2014 to Boston 2018.
  • It had none. Every Souvenir of it is a conversion made since May 2026. That covers every other gun, the M4A4 | Howl or the AWP | Gungnir for instance.

To sort each skin, we took the contents of the 150 Souvenir packages as the game files describe them, then checked them against the Steam sales we keep. Of the 1,482 Souvenir market names of package skins (one name per wear), 1,474 sold on Steam before 22 May 2026. For every other gun, 3 out of 5,323: the three wears of the MP5-SD | Lab Rats, sold as a Souvenir since 2018 without being in a package. We count it with the package skins.

Souvenir vs regular copy: our numbers

The Dragon Lore first. In each of the four wears listed on both sides, the cheapest Souvenir sits barely above the regular copy.

Our reading, which no listing let us confirm one by one: a Souvenir at the regular price is a conversion. Its seller paid for a regular Dragon Lore, then the tokens.

In Battle-Scarred, listings under the same name no longer look alike. Two marketplaces offer a Souvenir close to the regular price, BUFF163 over twice it, and four others more than six times it. The name alone won’t tell you which ones are original Souvenirs.

For a gun outside packages, the Souvenir costs a median 27 times the regular price. Our reading, without having measured the token cost: on a cheap gun, the conversion weighs far more than the gun’s own price. Among package skins, 572 Souvenirs out of 1,457 are even cheaper than their regular copy.

Telling an original Souvenir from a converted one

The name won’t say. The stickers will: you can see them in game, and on listings that show them.

  • Four gold stickers from an IEM Cologne 2026 match. Both teams of the match, a player’s autograph and the map: that’s what the Souvenir-O-Matic applies, according to Valve’s announcement and its picture. The gun was converted, whether it was regular or already a Souvenir before, since Valve accepts both.
  • Stickers from an older tournament. The gun most likely came out of a Souvenir package. For a Dragon Lore, those are the packages from ESL One Cologne 2014 to Boston 2018.
  • When it sold. In the CSFloat sales we keep (13 Souvenir names of guns outside packages), none shows up before 12 June 2026, while sales of package Souvenirs go back to 10 April 2020.

If the listing doesn’t show the stickers, ask the seller or inspect the item in game before you pay. Two listings of the same Souvenir at very different prices aren’t necessarily a marketplace error.

On Veriloot

Our item pages show the cheapest listing under each name, and can’t read its origin. On the page of a gun that has a Souvenir, a note says so: original Souvenirs and conversions mixed for package skins, conversions only for the rest.

In the tables, every skin links to its page, with the current price and when it was recorded. For the story of packages and tokens, see the glossary page on Souvenir weapons.

These are listed prices, not sales: an amount can change between our check and your visit. How Veriloot calculates these amounts

Market figures, from the price drop to sales volumes and resale fees, are gathered in our CS2 skin market statistics 2026.
