CS2 Snow Queen for Halloween? What Valve actually confirmed
A Halloween release for Fairy Tales has no confirmed date in the Valve announcements we reviewed. In its July call for submissions, Valve asked for fairy-tale weapon finishes without naming the selected skins or announcing their release.

What Valve actually requested
The starting point is Call II Arms-ory, published on July 16, 2026 in UTC. Valve asked for weapon finishes on the Fairy Tales theme. Cryptids and Pop Art refer to stickers, so these categories do not describe a single collection of weapon skins.
Creators were asked to select the matching category in the CS2 Workshop tool. The announcement provides no release schedule or list of selected submissions. It cannot establish the date of a Halloween update.
Halloween is speculation, not a Valve schedule
The white.market blog suggests a Halloween release while also acknowledging that no date is confirmed. Its connection between the theme and the season is not an announcement from the publisher.
We checked that suggestion against the original announcement and the official CS2 news feed on October 8, 2026. We found no confirmation of a Halloween release within the material reviewed. A later announcement could change that.
Snow Queen exists as a Workshop submission
The AWP | SNOW QUEEN page credits JKKKDL and Coba and carries the Fairy Tales category. Their render shows a blue and white AWP with a portrait on its body. This image comes from the creators’ page; the weapon was not invented for this article.
The page lets you view the design and identify its creators. It does not establish that Valve has selected it. We have therefore attached no price or purchase link to this submission.

The Hōrai offers a different take on the theme
YiTaSu’s The Hōrai concept also appears in the Fairy Tales category. Its artwork features a panda among plants, with green as the dominant colour. The original page contains the creator’s renders.
These examples show work submitted to the Workshop. They are neither an official selection nor a ranking of the skins most likely to be released.

Update, October 13, 2026: see also M4A4 | Beanstalk V2, another Fairy Tales concept (French version).
A Workshop page is not a release announcement
The official Counter-Strike Workshop guide encourages players to follow creators and give feedback on their designs. A finish appearing there does not mean it is available in a game inventory.
Confirmation would require a Valve announcement identifying the selected content. The sources we reviewed also do not confirm how players would obtain Fairy Tales skins.
A community video selection
The video below is a discovery lead. Its title refers to potential skins; it is not evidence of a release date.

What it changes for you
The Snow Queen and The Hōrai Workshop pages are not purchase offers: neither design has a confirmed selection in the sources reviewed. We have not measured any effect of this story on market prices.
